Benchè il livello di schermatura non sia paragonabile a quello offerto da una camera modulare, gli ultimi anni sono stati caratterizzati da una una forte richiesta di “hardenizzazione” locali pre-esistenti.

Although the level of shielding is not comparable to that offered by a modular room, the last few years have been characterized by a strong demand for pre-existing local “hardenization“.

Questa applicazione è fortemente votata al settore TEMPEST e, più in generale, a tutte quelle realtà che hanno la necessità di proteggere i propri dati da soggetti esterni.

 Il rivestimento in tessuto ha alcuni vantaggi rispetto alle camere :

Il peso, quando una camera raggiunge certe dimensioni, non è un fattore da sottovalutare, soprattutto nei cosiddetti edifici “storici”

Il mantenimento pressochè invariato della superficie del locale schermato; lo shielding occupa pochi mm di spazio cui va poi aggiunta una controparete in cartongesso sp.40mm. Una volta rivestito, l’aspetto sarà quello di un normale ufficio con la possibilità di montare finestre schermate. Permette, inoltre, di superare una molteplicità di ostacoli architettonici.

The fabric covering has some advantages over the chambers:

The weight, when the shielded room reaches bigdimensions, is not a factor to be underestimated, especially in the “historical” buildings

The maintenance, almost unchanged, of local’s surface area; the shielding takes up a few mm of space to which has to be added a 40mm thick plasterboard wall. Once covered, the appearance will be that of a normal office with the possibility of mounting shielded windows. It also allows you to overcome a variety of architectural obstacles.

Il ns. materiale ha dato ottime risposte ai test di efficienza di schermo (IEEE299) rimanendo ben al di sopra dal limite comunemente utilizzato per la protezione Tempest (60db 100 KHz à 1 GHz) e continuando a dare una protezione superiore fino all’ aggiungersi di svariati GHz al generatore di segnale.

Our material had an excellent reponse to the screen efficiency tests (IEEE299) remaining well above the limit commonly used for Tempest protection (60db 100 KHz  1 GHz) and continuing to give superior protection until the addition of several GHz to the signal generator.

Risultati raggiunti nonostante l’utilizzo della norma IEEE299, decisamente più penalizzante rispetto Tempest zoning (solitamente utilizzata per certificare le sale di protezione dati). La prima consiste nel generare un forte segnale a pochi cm dalla parete esterna della camera e misurarne l’intensità all’interno; la tempest zoning, al contrario, prevede di posizionare l’antenna trasmittente all’interno dell’ambiente schermato e misurare l’intensità del segnale ai limiti del perimetro di sicurezza.

Results achieved despite the use of the IEEE299 standard for EMC laboratories, much more penalizing than Tempest zoning (usually used to certify data protection rooms). The first consists in generating a strong signal no long from the external wall of the chamber and measuring its intensity inside; on the other hand, Tempest zoning involves positioning the transmitting antenna inside the shielded environment and measuring the signal intensity at the limits of the safety zone.
